AC Milan are considering a move for the Bayer Leverkusen defender and have signaled Manchester United target Jeremie Frimpong.
Frimpong is a player who has been on United’s transfer list for a long time.
Last month, The Athletic revealed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s revival at Old Trafford hasn’t necessarily secured his future and that he could still be sold if a tempting offer arrives.
Erik ten Hag is known to want reinforcements in the right-back position, although he may have to wait longer than this summer.
There are many other areas of the field that urgently need to be addressed. Acquiring a right-back is not a top priority.
The Peoples Person have reported a report suggesting that amid interest from Bayern Munich and the Red Devils in Frimpong, Leverkusen have put a £30-35m price tag on the 22-year-old.
Frimpong also recently acquired new agents and representation to secure a move this summer.
The Daily Mail have now mentioned that AC Milan have joined the race to land the Dutch international.
The Rossoneri are delighted to have the cash to spend, earned through the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle
“AC Milan are considering spending part of their Sandro Tonali money win over former Manchester City youngster Jeremie Frimpong.
“Frimpong is among the players they are targeting as they seek to further strengthen their squad, backed by funds received for Tonali and having already signed Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea for an initial £15m this summer. “
“He is also admired by Manchester United, who have already had talks of Frimpong leaving.”
Inter Milan also want Frimpong. United’s limited transfer budget has left the door open for Milan clubs to steal the Red Devils in the race to sign Frimpong.
