Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb are scheduled for scans on November 4 to assess their injuries—a hamstring issue for Prescott and a shoulder problem for Lamb.
Prescott exited the Cowboys’ 27-21 defeat against the Atlanta Falcons due to a hamstring injury. Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones referred to it as a high hamstring injury, but Prescott is uncertain about his availability for the November 10 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles at AT&T Stadium.
“I mean, it’s hard for me to say. I would say that I’ll be out there next week,” Prescott stated, as reported by ESPN. “Once again, I’ve got to see. Luckily, I’ve progressed fast on injuries and things, so thankful for that. When we get a picture of it, I guess we’ll see how bad it is. It’ll take a lot for me to not be out there, I’ll say, personally.”
Meanwhile, CeeDee Lamb played through a shoulder issue during the game. Jones expressed optimism that Lamb could continue to compete, given that he managed to play through the pain.
Prescott’s injury occurred after a 5-yard scramble late in the third quarter, and he was seen grimacing while completing a 10-yard pass to Jalen Brooks. “I felt it when I was getting up from the run. I can’t even say that I felt it running,” Prescott explained. “I don’t know, but when I was standing up, I felt something actually. Didn’t think it was much. You get tired. It’s a physical game. A lot of times you feel different things and they kind of go away.”
It remains uncertain whether both players will be available for the upcoming game, and any prolonged absence would significantly impact the team.

Cowboys’ daring forecast could result in a franchise-changing trade deadline
The Dallas Cowboys are facing a crucial game this Sunday as they travel to play the Atlanta Falcons. A victory would elevate the Cowboys to a 4-4 record, boosting morale ahead of the trade deadline. However, if they lose, they would drop to 3-5, potentially triggering significant changes within the organization.
With the trade deadline approaching on November 5, the Cowboys are considered one of the most interesting teams to monitor. A defeat against the Falcons could prompt them to make several trades. According to Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox, the team may look to offload players like Trey Lance and Eric Kendricks.
Knox stated, “The prediction here is that the Cowboys realize that they are approaching a rebuild—head coach Mike McCarthy still hasn’t received an extension beyond this season—and decide to stockpile draft capital at the deadline.” He also noted that while Dallas has $25.7 million in projected cap space for 2025, a significant portion may be needed for Micah Parsons’ extension, making it essential to refresh the roster with rookie contracts.
He suggested, “Expect Dallas to shop impending 2025 free agents like Kendricks, Lance, edge-rusher DeMarcus Lawrence, guard Zack Martin, and cornerback Jourdan Lewis in the coming days. Adding a player or two isn’t going to put Dallas in the 2024 Super Bowl conversation.”
A win on Sunday would help the Cowboys avoid these drastic measures, but a loss could set off a chain reaction of changes.
