Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, newcomers to Liverpool, may play their first game on Wednesday against 2. Karlsruher SC, a Bundesliga team.
The two were naturally included in Jurgen Klopp’s 32-person traveling party for their training camp in Germany, and there is no reason to believe they won’t be given consideration for starting positions in Klopp’s midfield three.
As Steven Gerrard struggles to get him to Al-Ettifaq, captain Jordan Henderson provides an alternative in the engine room. Henderson’s presence there is somewhat unexpected given that he was battling to get there.
Liverpool have not yet accepted a fee, despite the fact that Henderson is rumored to have given the go-ahead for a £700,000 per week contract. However, the Reds have chosen to leave Fabinho at home while they hold talks with Al-Ittihad.
As a result, Liverpool fans might see Stefan Bajcetic for the first time since his adductor injury that ended the season, as Szoboszlai and Mac Allister finish up a revamped engine room.
Darwin Nunez, who was given the number nine jersey in place of Roberto Firmino, could combine with Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah to form a terrifying front three.
A first-choice backline consisting of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, and Alisson Becker may take the field at Wildparkstadion, where youngsters like Jarell Quansah, Ben Doak, and Melkamu Frauendorf should also accrue significant playing time.
Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Bajcetic, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Diaz are the potential starting lineup options for Liverpool.

Two youngsters released from Liverpool sign new clubs in Wales and Scotland
In the early summer, Liverpool took a number of young players off their books, two of whom found refuge elsewhere over the weekend.
Forwards Iwan Roberts and Jack Bearne were sacked by the club earlier this month, leaving them scrambling for a new place to ply their trade in 2023/24.
The two players have both been signed by new clubs in recent days, with Roberts joining Bala Town on a permanent basis and Bearne moving to Greenock Morton.
Roberts joined the Cymru Premier squad after spending two years in Liverpool’s youth academy, making his only Wales under-18 appearance in September 2021.
He sees him return to Wales, having been born and raised in Wrexham, before making 16 appearances for the Reds in the U18 Premier League. Bearne will move elsewhere in the British Isles after signing for Scottish champions club Greenock Morton.
The 21-year-old winger spent last season on loan at Kidderminster, where he made 25 National League North appearances and saw his side climb into the playoffs.
He joined Liverpool Academy from Notts County in 2017 and made 25 Premier League 2 appearances for the Reds before leaving on loan in the 2021/22 season.
Along with the two young forwards, centre-back Oludare Olufunwa was given a trial at Burton Albion, playing two 45-minute friendlies for the League One club on two consecutive days under the nickname ‘Trialist B’.
He will be looking to make his move permanent after joining Liverpool from Southampton on a free transfer last summer.
