Manchester United is confident about the Mason Mount deal before the third offer.
This week, Manchester United turned down a second offer from Chelsea for Mason Mount. The Reds are preparing to increase their offer and the Blues are believed to want close to £65million.

We expect United to make a third offer for Mount, although The Mirror claim the Glazers will not approve the spend until the deal is complete.

However, CBS reporter Ben Jacobs believes United remain optimistic about Mount as they know he wants the move.

Jacobs adds that United are hoping to sign Mount for less than £60million, but Chelsea are still trying to get ahead of the boat for a higher fee.

Mount’s contract expires next year, but Chelsea want £65m for his signing this summer. Earlier reports insisted they wanted £70m, but United have made it clear he will not pay that sum.

While I think Mount would be a brilliant signing for United, the club would shoot themselves in the foot if they overspend knowing he will be available for free next year.

This would set a dangerous precedent for the remainder of the summer transfer window.

Caoimhin Kelleher clarifies his position as two clubs negotiate a goalkeeper transfer

While Liverpool could count on Caoimhin Kelleher’s transfer, three Premier League clubs that have shown interest in the summer could have moved on.

Having made just four appearances last season and already proving himself worthy of the regular role, Kelleher is set to leave Anfield this summer.

The Irishman, who turns 25 in November, would certainly benefit from being considered a No.1 elsewhere as Alisson is adamant between positions at Liverpool.

As of this writing, there are no signs that Kelleher has asked for an exit, but growing interest across the Premier League has suggested he has options.
Brighton, Brentford and Tottenham would all have been on the cork trail, but things now appear to have changed.

The first step came when Brighton signed Bart Verbruggen from Anderlecht. Athletic have reported that they are ‘close’ to signing the 20-year-old Dutchman. Verbruggen is expected to move for around £17m, which could convince his other suitors, Burnley, to move in with ex-Liverpool goalkeeper Kamil Grabara.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports reported on Thursday that Tottenham had verbally agreed an initial £17.2million deal with Empoli for Guglielmo Vicario.

This is because Tottenham are “reluctant” to meet Brentford’s requests for their goalkeeper David Raya, which could lead to the Spaniard staying with the Bees.

If Brighton and Tottenham were to be left out, only Brentford from that first wave of clubs would be interested in Kelleher.

But whether they will try to retain Raya remains to be seen as he has been described as “unlikely” to sign a contract extension which expires next year. Kelleher could therefore still stay at Liverpool next season, something Jurgen Klopp has been insisting on for a long time.

“Honestly, I can’t imagine Caoimh leaving,” he said in May.
“It must be an exceptional offer for me to think about [selling him], I must say.”

The Liverpool No.62 last signed a new contract in 2021, tying him to the club until 2026 when he will be 27.
