Cowboys’ $39 million star labeled as a ‘noteworthy’ trade possibility for Dallas

Brandin Cooks

The Dallas Cowboys hold a 3-4 record this season, placing them third in the NFC East, behind the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite having significant talent, the Cowboys have not achieved the wins they anticipated. However, it’s premature to write them off; there’s still ample time for the team to make a turnaround.

With the trade deadline approaching on November 5, the team’s roster will be closely evaluated. Will the Cowboys make additions before the deadline? Is there a possibility of trading away some players? Could they engage in a strategy of both buying and selling simultaneously?

With just a week remaining until the deadline, the situation remains uncertain. Receiver Brandin Cooks has been labeled an “interesting” trade candidate by FanSided’s Cody Williams.

“Particularly after watching three-plus quarters of the 49ers just wearing down the Cowboys, there needs to be a definitive direction in Dallas,” Williams stated. “And frankly, I don’t see how one could look at the results and think that direction should be anything but soft selling.

“Jerry Jones might think differently, but the best course of action would be to look at the Trey Lance trade market. Brandin Cooks is another interesting name, to be sure, but Lance’s youth and upside still might make him more attractive to teams like the Raiders or Titans fishing for long-term quarterback answers. Plus, it could help make up draft capital for the senseless trade to acquire him in the first place.”

Cooks is in the final year of a two-year, $39.7 million contract and is currently injured. His situation will be worth monitoring in the coming week.
