Six Detroit Lions, including Kerby Joseph, Earn 2024 NFL All-Pro Honors

Detroit Lions have made a major statement in the 2024 NFL season, with six players earning All-Pro honors, including standout Kerby Joseph, who was notably overlooked for the Pro Bowl.

The Associated Press unveiled their All-Pro teams on Friday afternoon, and the Lions are strongly represented, with four players making the First Team—a feat that ties the franchise’s record set in 1991.

First Team Honors:

  • Amon-Ra St. Brown — Two-time First-team All-Pro (2023, 2024)
  • Penei Sewell — Two-time First-team All-Pro (2023, 2024)
  • Kerby Joseph — First-time All-Pro honoree
  • Jack Fox — First-time First-Team All-Pro, also one-time Second-Team All-Pro (2020)

St. Brown, who secured First Team honors for the second consecutive year, is among the NFL’s elite receivers alongside Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. Despite a slight dip in his numbers, St. Brown finished the season with 115 catches (second in the NFL), 1,263 yards (fifth), and 12 touchdowns (third).

Sewell, another repeat First-Team selection, continues to be a cornerstone for the Lions. The 2021 first-round pick posted an impressive 87.5 PFF grade for 2024 (fifth overall), highlighted by his exceptional run blocking (90.5, second-best in the league).

In a breakthrough moment, Kerby Joseph earned his first All-Pro nod after a stellar season, leading the NFL with nine interceptions. This was especially sweet for Joseph, who had been snubbed for the Pro Bowl. A video capturing his reaction to the announcement went viral, marking a high point in his young career. Over three seasons, Joseph now boasts 17 interceptions.

Jack Fox, known for his elite punting, achieved his first All-Pro season, finishing the year as the league leader in punt average (51.0 yards) and net average (45.8 yards). His NFL record for career punting average (48.8) is a testament to his consistency. His teammates shared the good news with him in a heartfelt moment.

Second Team Honors:

  • Frank Ragnow — Three-time Second-Team All-Pro (2020, 2023, 2024)
  • Kalif Raymond (RET) — Two-time Second-Team All-Pro (2022, 2024)

While Ragnow hasn’t yet broken through to the First Team, his status as a three-time All-Pro remains impressive. The Kansas City Chiefs’ center Creed Humphrey claimed the First-Team spot, but Ragnow continues to be a key figure for the Lions’ offensive line.

Raymond, despite missing some time due to injury, finished the season as the NFL leader in punt return yards (413) and ranked third in return average (13.8).

Other Lions Who Received Votes:

  • Jahmyr Gibbs
  • Jameson Williams
  • Kevin Zeitler
  • Aidan Hutchinson
  • Jack Campbell
  • Alex Anzalone
  • Brian Branch
  • Hogan Hatten

With these standout performances, the Detroit Lions have shown that their roster is stacked with talent across all positions, further solidifying their place among the NFL’s elite teams for 2024.
