Dominik Szoboszlai has admitted he is shocked by the intensity of training at Liverpool.
The 22-year-old has so far impressed everyone at his new club, showing off his outstanding form during pre-season fitness tests.
But after playing his first game for Liverpool last night, Szoboszlai told Hungarian outlet Nemzeti Sport that he has never actually trained like this.
“I used to work hard, but I have to say I’ve never done three workouts in one day in my life, certainly not at this intensity,” he said. “After the last workout I’d rather get off the bike than go up the hill. However, I really like the exercises.
Szoboszlai also commented on how he is enjoying himself with his new team mates.
“The atmosphere is good, the [team] mates are brilliant, I like the atmosphere,” said the Reds’ No8. “I’m happy to be here.”

It’s good to know that Jurgen is testing the boys harder than ever this year.
After a very disappointing season it is essential that Liverpool start again from the first whistle.
That hard work started to pay off last night when they were first introduced to the pre-season action. It wasn’t always easy against the Bundesliga. 2 Karlsruher SC, but it was the training the Reds needed.
It was also Szoboszlai’s first match as a Liverpool player. He must have made those grueling triple sessions worth it.
