Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has found his biggest supporter in girlfriend Nicole Anderson.
“26 is my lucky number 🦁,” Anderson posted on Instagram in November 2024, referring to Gibbs’ jersey number.
Anderson, a real estate agent, publicly confirmed her relationship with Gibbs in 2023 and has since become a regular presence at his Lions games, following his draft to Detroit in April 2023.
“Today is the last game of the regular season, so Isabelle [Sewell, married to Lions star Penei Sewell] is having a party bus at her house,” Anderson said in a TikTok video from January 2025. “Party buses are fun with all the girls. I’m really excited.”
After arriving at the stadium, Anderson gives Gibbs a good luck kiss before heading to her seat in the stands. For every game, she turns heads in custom Gibbs-inspired team merchandise.
Below is a timeline of Gibbs and Anderson’s relationship:
May 2023 The couple began dating less than a month after Gibbs was drafted by the Lions.
“POV: U were planning on staying single then accidentally caught feelings,” Anderson wrote on TikTok on May 14, sharing a montage of their PDA-filled photos.
October 2023 Anderson and Gibbs went public with their relationship on Instagram for Halloween, dressing up as Spider-Man and matching their costumes.
“In every universe,” she wrote, while Gibbs posted, “Stings doesn’t it?”
The following month, Anderson started posting behind-the-scenes looks at her game day experiences.
January 2024 “Rookie recap 💙💙 what a season!!” Anderson gushed on Instagram, posting pictures of Gibbs in his uniform.
In March, the couple enjoyed a tropical vacation during the offseason.
October 2024 The pair dressed as Shark Tales characters for Halloween.
“You’d have to be crazy not to take me back,” Anderson captioned a post, quoting the animated movie.
January 2025 After the Lions secured the No. 1 seed in the NFC conference, Gibbs and his team began their playoff journey. Anderson, meanwhile, showed her support by dressing up to cheer for him from the stands.
“How thoughtful. @KendraScott sent me the cutest custom jewelry,” she wrote on Instagram Story on January 18, ahead of the divisional round.
Kendra Scott sent Anderson a gold necklace featuring a “26” chain and another chainlink cheer along with two pairs of hoop earrings.
At previous games, Anderson wore custom gear featuring Gibbs’ last name, jersey number, or images from the field.
“Dibs on Gibbs,” she captioned a picture from another NFL game day.
