According to Trent Alexander-Arnold, there’s two he’s “dreaming” of playing with two Liverpool players next season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted Liverpool signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai are “dream” teammates.

The two face their first day of training today as most of Jurgen Klopp’s players return from the summer break. Trent will also be back. And speaking to Sky Sports before meeting Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, the 24-year-old praised the “technical excellence” of both players.

“Top players, exciting for the team, exciting for the club,” said Alexander-Arnold. “It’s always exciting when we bring in new players to see how they come in, how they fit and what they are like.

“I’m sure they already know we are a welcoming team, a welcoming team, they can see it from the outside. It’s a good locker room and you go in and do your job and get results. That’s all we ask the players to be okay with what we’re doing, believe in the plan and be willing to work hard and make sacrifices for the team.

“I’m sure the boys will make it and also two technically excellent players who know how to receive the ball and play with the ball. “For players like me who like to play with the ball and pass the ball, those in front of me are dream players.”

The first day attracts with new recruits

According to Trent Alexander-Arnold, there's two he's "dreaming" of playing with two Liverpool players next season.Today is an exciting day for Reds fans as their two signings become full-fledged Liverpool players.

No doubt there will be plenty of content throughout the day as Mac Allister and Szoboszlai meet their new teammates.

However, once the meets and greets are behind us, the focus shifts to what they can do on the pitch. Any player training for the first time with players like Alexander-Arnold must be nervous.

But as Trent mentions, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai are technically superb. Neither should have to worry.
Hopefully the two manage to get along with the scouser and the rest of the Liverpool squad early on.

If they can do that, their chances of being in the starting XI increase immediately. Both are good enough for that, but if they don’t adapt immediately, Klopp will have no problem integrating them more slowly into the team.

The first steps to see if this will be the case are being taken today. Like Trent, we are excited about this prospect.
