Alexis Sanchez accepts a Premier League comeback after being approached by Arsenal

Former Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is reportedly ready to accept a return to the Premier League with Nottingham Forest.

Although his hopes of building bridges with the Gunners have been dismissed, Alexis is said to be open to accepting an offer from Nottingham Forest.

According to reports from Chile, Alexis Sanchez, who played for Arsenal and Manchester United, is ready to accept a return to the Premier League with Nottingham Forest after Arsenal’s snub.
The Chilean striker’s desire to return to Arsenal was thwarted as the club focused on youth development and sustainability.

After an impressive stint at Marseille, Alexis is looking for a new home in the English top flight, putting his injury-plagued spell at Manchester United behind him. Alexis Sánchez has reportedly been looking forward to returning to familiar territory this summer as his contract with Marseille has expired without a club.

The Chilean striker had set his sights on Arsenal, where he may have experienced the peak of his career.

However, Arsenal’s strong commitment to youth development and sustainability resulted in a difficult switch at the request of the veteran striker.

It now appears he is set to sign a contract with Nottingham Forest which will see him return to England, where he has scored 80 goals, with 45 assists, for Arsenal, along with five goals and nine assists for Manchester United.

Alexis enjoyed a successful spell at Olympique de Marseille last season, scoring 14 goals in 35 appearances. After disappointing spells at Manchester United and Inter Milan and a failed contract extension at Marseille, the 34-year-old Chile international is reportedly ready to ditch Champions League football and high wages to return to the top flight English.
