Eden Hazard’s brief statement following his unexpected Chelsea comeback

After it was announced that Eden Hazard would be returning to Stamford Bridge, the former Chelsea player responded.

After departing Real Madrid in the summer, the Belgian announced his official retirement from the game in October. His career came to an end, having played for three clubs in total of 622 matches.

Among those, 352 were in Chelsea shirts, and they occurred between 2012 and 2019. Hazard won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup, and two Europa League titles for the team in addition to 110 goals and 92 assists.

It has been revealed that Hazard will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer, five years after leaving. In the yearly Soccer Aid game, the Belgian will be playing for the Rest of the World squad.

Mauricio Pochettino, the current manager of Chelsea, will oversee Hazard and the Rest of the World Team. Alongside his uncle Harry Redknapp, former footballer Frank Lampard will be the manager of the England squad.

After his return to Stamford Bridge was confirmed, Hazard responded with two more words on social media. With a simple “I’m back!” message on his Instagram account, the 33-year-old shared the SoccerAid announcement video. He included a stadium emoji with his statement.

In his final game wearing a Chelsea jersey at Stamford Bridge, he assisted in two goals as Chelsea defeated Watford 3-0. In the Europa League final versus Arsenal, he made his last appearance for the team, contributing an assist and two goals in a 4-1 victory.
