Eric Bailly is in talks with two Saudi clubs for a three-year deal worth £20m

According to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth, Manchester United defender Eric Bailly is in talks with two Saudi clubs over a summer transfer.

The Ivory Coast international spent last season on loan at Marseille in the French top flight. Despite a long suspension and injuries, he only made 23 appearances.

The Phocaeans agreed to a conditional commitment to buy him last summer but the clause was not enforced after the centre-back failed to make the required number of appearances.

Bailly is now expected to consider a new club after being banned from the club’s pre-season tour of the United States and Sheth claims he is in talks with two Saudi teams. The former Villarreal player has a contract offer of £20million over three seasons (£128,000 a week). Cristiano Ronaldo spoke directly to Bailly to tell him about the league and the lifestyle.

Bailly could soon follow Telles in Saudi Arabia
Earlier today, Saudi giants Al Nassr confirmed Telles’ arrival on a transfer fee of £6m.

The left-back was loaned out to Sevilla in the Spanish La Liga last season. He was thought to fall short in the summer and United received a financial boost from his sale. Bailly is also in talks with Al Nassr, and we wouldn’t be surprised if they sign him too. The centre-back shared a close relationship with Ronaldo during his time back home at United.

The 29-year-old joined the Red Devils from Villarreal seven years ago for £30m, but United recently set a price tag of just £2m. They should see a higher fee with interest from Saudi Arabia.

Apart from Bailly, Anthony Elanga looks set to leave the club in the coming days. He is set to undergo a medical at Nottingham Forest ahead of a £15m move.
