Liverpool are reportedly preparing a £34m bid for Turin centre-back Perr Schuurs. Jurgen Klopp has already welcomed two new midfielders in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai this summer and is now looking for a new defensive signing.

Liverpool could well sign another midfielder this summer, with Southampton’s Romeo Lavia top of the list. However, some money is expected to remain in Klopp’s budget to strengthen his defense as well.

Jurgen Klopp orders executives to "get deal done at any cost," prompting Liverpool to prepare a £34 million offer.
Players like Joel Matip, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez were flattered to cheat last season and Klopp is now desperate to bolster his defense.

According to Tuttosport, Liverpool have already rejected a £25m offer for 23-year-old centre-back Schuurs and are set to return with an improved £34m offer.

The Italian outlet says Klopp has wanted the defender, who was on trial for Liverpool aged 17, for more than two years and has instructed his bosses to go through with the deal at all costs.

At 23 and with the option to also play at right-back, Schuurs is an attractive option for Liverpool, who have made a habit of signing younger players on an upward trajectory. However, they could enter battle over his signature with Napoli who are also allegedly interested in his services.

The Italian champions are looking for a new centre-back after Kim min-Jae left for Bayern Munich and spotted Schuurs as a possible target. The 23-year-old looked forward to a great future after his breakthrough at Ajax in 2018 and many had pointed to him as the natural successor to Matthijs de Ligt.
