Liverpool have been busier this summer than expected, both in terms of arrivals and departures.
The Reds have always been on the hunt for a new midfielder or two and did a good job signing both Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szboszlai early on.
Since then, many players have been linked with departures, including club stars Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
However, Klopp spoke about the signings and admitted the welcome from the players was ‘exceptional’ as he told the squad that Mac Allister and Szoboszlai would arrive.
“Two very good players. I immediately started thinking about nicknames and thought this would be a great nickname for Alexis… Gary! He obviously plays great football, just like Dom,” Klopp said.

Klopp could end up signing even more midfielders. Romeo Lavia is heavily linked, while Moises Caicedo could also be a target.
Quick adjustment
Good players know who the other good players in the game are and it seems very likely that Szboszlai and Mac Allister will be on track.
It is great news for Klopp to see the current squad react so positively to the new signings. He wants a good team spirit around and no pushback. Indeed, he has the ideal answer here.
This looks like a great summer for Liverpool. An overhaul has taken place, and that overhaul could be even greater if Henderson and others leave.
