Liverpool may have found a player with a $22 million release clause who is similar to Sergio Busquets, but the Reds would face competition from Barcelona and Newcastle.
New Reds midfielder Alexis Mac Allister stopped at Boca Juniors on his way to Liverpool. Boca Juniors is a massive club in Argentina.
After making his name at Argentinos Juniors, Brighton signed him in the winter of 2019 and, about six months later, loaned him to the Xeneizes for half a season.
Mac Allister compared the two teams after last week’s completion of his transfer to Liverpool.
The club’s 54,000-seat La Bombonera stadium is renowned throughout the world for its atmosphere, similar to Anfield.
Any player you talk to will tell you how crazy it is how people encourage, he said in an ESPN interview.
“I had to play twice at Anfield. “It is the closest thing to Boca residents there is within England.
That is significant and also counts. I referred to Liverpool as the Boca of England for this reason. I’m eager to begin playing there. “.
It’s tempting to consider whether these remarks had any effect on Alan Varela, a different Boca Juniors star who is rumored to be on Liverpool’s radar.

According to Planeta BJ, the Reds are interested in signing 21-year-old defensive midfielder Varela after sending scouts to watch him compete in his team’s 1-0 victory over Tigre at the end of May.
They are by no means the only interested party; in March, Football Insider reported that Newcastle United and Barcelona were also interested, while Bournemouth and Benfica looked into deals in January.
Varela only agreed to a contract extension last summer, but crucially, it is thought to have a $22 million (£17 million/€20 million) release clause, meaning it provides little protection for his club.
The 21-year-old began his career at Barcelona Luján, a youth academy established by the La Liga powerhouse in the capital of Argentina, and was brought up in the Blaugrana’s image, with a strong emphasis on ball retention (via Sport).
He joined Boca Juniors when he was just 11 years old, and more than ten years later, he has made 102 first-team appearances.
He has started all five of his team’s Copa Libertadores group games and 14 of the first 20 league games for Jorge Almirón’s squad this season. He is a key member of the squad.
Varela is number six, and according to Football Talent Scout writer Shay Hicks, he acts as a metronome, regulating the pace of the game.
By dropping back into the defensive line, he frequently participates in the opening stages of the build-up and can start attacks with his impressively diverse pass repertoire.
Hicks also praises his vision and awareness, pointing out his propensity to scan his surroundings before receiving the ball, which is demonstrated by his league-best retention rate.
Alan Varela's name coming up is very interesting.
It indicates that we are going for good squad depth.Varela has all the minerals to be a top midfielder in the next 2-3 years.
He had the highest Ball Retention in Argentina last season.
