The official announcement of his signing is expected shortly and he confirmed his departure from Stamford Bridge with a farewell video message on social media.

United are considering a second midfield signing after Mason Mount

Manchester United are keeping their options open on a second midfield signing this summer, with Mason Mount set to become the first newcomer.
Mount will complete a £55m first move from Chelsea, after signing a five-year deal and passing a medical at Carrington on Monday.

The fee could be as high as £60m, but the add-ons are heavily dependent on the team’s success. The 24-year-old’s arrival will mean Fred’s departure and Fulham are keen to sign the 30-year-old Brazilian, who has one year left on his contract.
