Randal Kolo Muani: Eintracht Frankfurt are “afraid” of Manchester United offer

Bundesliga expert Christian Falk says Eintracht Frankfurt are “afraid of a club” in regards to their flagship, Randal Kolo Muani.

The striker has attracted a lot of attention from the world’s elite, with PSG and Juventus linked with interest.

There were early signs that United were keen on the star, but a €100m price tag from the German side and likely big competition from PSG appeared to dampen their enthusiasm and they turned their attention to Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.

However, those deals have run into similar problems, with reports claiming the Bergamo-based outfit are asking between €70m and €100m for an unproven diamond in the rough, with just nine Serie A goals to its name.

Some reports claim that in the face of Atalanta’s intransigence, United are now considering a turnaround and backtracking for the Frenchman. This, says Falk, is worried about Frankfurt.

“Frankfurt is afraid of a club when it comes to the future of Randal Kolo Muani – Manchester United,” says Falk in his events captured.

“They heard that the PSG was not so enthusiastic about the player now, so they hoped to keep him for another year, but the only stranger was united for them.

“They are still waiting for the range that United was preparing.

“When they arrive, I think Kolo Muani would agree because there were not so many clubs in this regard and they were one of the first to show interest.”

Falk underlines that the Red Devils have not yet made offers, although previously it has been reported that investigations have been conducted. While United boss Erik ten Hag appears to be keen on Hojlund, with whom personal terms have been agreed, United cannot afford to let the situation drag on all summer.

Kolo Muani represents a much more experienced and proven goalscorer – 23 goals and 17 assists in 46 games for Frankfurt last season – with World Cup experience, yet still young and explosive, 24, with much more to come in his development.

The Frenchman has a market value of €80m according to transfermarkt.com while Hojlund’s is only €45m. In theory at least, the latter should be available for much less than the former, but that doesn’t turn out to be the case.
