Chelsea defender Levi Colwill was spotted during the first tram training session today ahead of the Premier League’s return this weekend.
The Blues posted a video on their official Twitter page showing the 20-year-old’s return to the team despite only being part of the England squad less than 24 hours ago.
Colwill made his debut for his country during the international break as Gareth Southgate experimented with a number of new players over the two matches.
He was on the bench last night as Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford led the Three Lions to victory against Italy.
This performance has seen him in every Chelsea game so far this season and has clearly impressed Mauricio Pochettino.
This happened mainly on the left side of the defense, which until this season was not in the youngster’s position.
Colwill back in training
He received widespread praise for this and was described as “outstanding” by his superior.
As such, the Argentine will no doubt be delighted to work with Colwill again as he strives to field a team for the return of domestic football.
Arsenal will be the visitors to Stamford Bridge in what is undoubtedly the toughest test for these Chelsea players on the entire pitch.
If Colwill starts at left back, he will be one of them as he welcomes the task of facing Bukayo Saka in this team.
However, with Chelsea’s concerns over multiple defensive injuries, he could well find his way into central defense where he could clash with former Blue Kai Havertz.
