Stefan Bajcetic and Tyler Morton react as 19-year-old Liverpool player goes on loan

Liverpool youngsters Stefan Bajcetic and Tyler Morton have reacted to Calvin Ramsay’s departure from the club this summer on loan.

Ramsay took to Instagram after joining Championship side Preston North End yesterday.

Earnings have been Liverpool’s main focus in recent weeks, with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai joining the club.

Both players are expected to make a big impact at Anfield this season after several midfielders left at the end of last season.

However, Jürgen Klopp will also have an eye on players leaving Liverpool this summer. Fabinho seems closer to a move to Saudi Arabia, while talks are also underway over Jordan Henderson’s future.

There are also younger players who have been loaned out to gain more first-team minutes.

Calvin Ramsay is one of the players who left Liverpool in search of regular football and Stefan Bajcetic is happy for him.

The young Scot was supposed to be Trent Alexander-Arnold’s replacement last season but injuries kept him out for most of the season.

Taking to Instagram yesterday in his new club shirt, Ramsay said: “So happy to be here. Can’t wait for the season to start and see you at Deepdale!”

Bajcetic responded to his young teammate and said, “Come on Rambo,” while Tyler Morton added, “Happy Birthday Rambo.”

Liverpool will be hoping Ramsay can retire this season and be able to emulate Bajcetic and compete for first-team minutes. Jurgen Klopp is now without a recognized right-back to replace Alexander-Arnold in the event of an injury.

James Milner was another option but he too left the club in the summer to join Adam Lallana at Brighton.

There is a feeling in Liverpool that one day Ramsay will be able to compete regularly with Alexander-Arnold.

He is highly rated but is much more of a traditional full-back than the England international, who is now drifting into midfield.

Jurgen Klopp may want to have the option to play with both systems in the future. But for now he will have to watch Ramsay’s progress in the Championship from afar.
