Ezekiel Elliott’s father places an unusual wager: $10,000 to anyone who can show proof that Zeke’s career is over

Stacy issued a bold challenge regarding Ezekiel Elliott’s role with the Dallas Cowboys. Team owner Jerry Jones attributed Elliott’s decreased playing time to injury management rather than a lack of faith in his skills. The situation intensified during a recent episode of “The Final Word,” where Stacy passionately defended his son against critics questioning his performance.

In response to those labeling Elliott as “washed up,” Stacy offered a daring proposition: anyone who could substantiate this claim with video evidence would earn $10,000. Despite fans sharing clips examining Elliott’s recent play, Stacy stands resolute, denying any decline in his performance.

“If you say he’s washed up, show me the tape. If you say his career’s over, show me the tape. And I’ll pay you $10,000,” Stacy declared.

This season has also reignited comparisons between Elliott and Derrick Henry, both drafted in 2016. Their careers have taken different trajectories; while Henry has excelled, accumulating nearly eight times Elliott’s rushing yards in 2024, Elliott has struggled to match that success.

The Cowboys had the option to sign Henry but chose not to due to financial issues, instead re-signing Elliott on a one-year, $3 million deal after his stint with the New England Patriots in 2022. In contrast, Henry has thrived with the Baltimore Ravens, creating a formidable partnership with quarterback Lamar Jackson, showcasing their dominance on the field.

Elliott’s standout season remains his rookie year, where he set a high standard with 1,631 rushing yards—an achievement he has yet to replicate.
