Micah Parsons has been dealing with an ankle strain since the fourth game of the 2024/25 season.
After a tough month, the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones are finally receiving some positive news. Parsons may be ready to return in Week 10, just in time for a crucial NFC East matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, November 10.
The star linebacker has been sidelined for five games due to the ankle injury, a key factor in the Cowboys’ struggles, as they now hold a 3-5 record. This news is a welcome relief for head coach Mike McCarthy, who has had to cope with injuries to players like DeMarcus Lawrence, DaRon Bland, Brandin Cooks, and most recently, quarterback Dak Prescott, as the team’s season has been spiraling downward.
So, how does Parsons feel about his recovery, and is he ready to face their divisional rivals at AT&T Stadium?
“I feel great,” Parsons said of his recovery. “My chances are high to play, but we are just trying to see how the practice goes and where the talent is at and what measures we have to take to play this game.
“I just have to get the feel of the rush. I’m starting all over. My lungs are hurting out there. So, it’s basically like I’m restarting my season all over again.”
Cowboys’ season hangs in the balance in Week 10
The Cowboys’ Super Bowl hopes now appear slim as they sit in third place in the NFC East, trailing the Eagles by three wins and the Commanders by four. A victory on Sunday is crucial for their playoff chances.
A loss would likely eliminate them from the division race, and they could also fall further down the NFC standings, where they are currently the fourth-worst team.
However, a win would keep their hopes alive, at least until Prescott returns from his hamstring injury. Only then will the trio of Prescott, Lamb, and Parsons have the chance to reunite, offering McCarthy some much-needed hope.

CeeDee Lamb Injury Update: Details on Dallas Cowboys WR’s Shoulder Injury Released
Week 9 proved to be a monumental disaster for the Dallas Cowboys.
The team not only faced its third consecutive defeat, but star quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb—who both signed major contracts before the season—sustained injuries.
Prescott is anticipated to be sidelined for several weeks due to a hamstring injury, while details about Lamb’s injury have emerged.
As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Lamb has a sprained AC joint.
The silver lining is that the injury is not thought to be severe, and he may still be able to play in Week 10 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
“Though Lamb’s shoulder is sore, the injury is not considered serious and he is expected to have a chance to play Sunday vs. the Eagles,” Schefter stated on X.
This season, Lamb is tied for fifth in the NFL with 53 receptions and ranks fourth with 660 receiving yards, having scored four touchdowns.
On the ground, he has carried the ball 10 times for 52 yards.
Lamb has been the most productive skill player for the Cowboys this season, so his absence would be a significant setback for the team, especially with Prescott out.
As the week progresses, Cowboys Nation can only hope for the best.
