According to Report: Completely unexpectedly the 29-year-old Liverpool player is now expected to be in first-team practice tomorrow

Fabinho is now reportedly expected to train in Liverpool tomorrow, despite a move to Al-Ittihad being all but approved by all parties.

According to Athletic, there has been a delay in the Brazilian international’s transfer process to the Saudi club, with Fabinho expected at Kirkbt tomorrow because he missed training camp in Germany.

According to the report, the 29-year-old midfielder has performed well throughout the process and it is widely expected that Fabinho will nonetheless complete his move to Al-Ittihad at some point in the period.

Fabinho’s return to Liverpool’s AXA training center is bound to raise a few eyebrows, especially given how certain it seemed the midfielder would be heading to the Middle East this week.

With Liverpool expected to pocket £40m from the move, the Reds will no doubt remain frustrated as the deal has yet to be finalised, with a replacement midfielder expected to be signed in the coming weeks.

Indeed, the postponement of Fabinho’s transfer to Saudi Arabia will do little to prepare Liverpool’s preparations for the season, as the team are set to fly to Singapore for the next game of their summer friendlies later this week.

Liverpool could ruin their transfer plans because of Fabinho

Fabinho’s departure seemed like a done deal as the transfer is expected to be confirmed later this week. But with the midfielder due to train tomorrow, Liverpool’s plans could be scrapped.

As we know, Liverpool looked set to bring in a Fabinho replacement in Romeo Lavia. However, this update could undo that potential transfer.

While the sale may still go ahead, few fans will be thrilled to see Fabinho return to training tomorrow, with supporters hoping the delay can be resolved before a possible confirmation later this week.
