Gabriela Cavallin, Antony’s ex-girlfriend, clarifies claims of domestic violence and death threats against the Manchester United player.

Antony’s former girlfriend has shed light on allegations of domestic abuse and death threats against the Manchester United winger.

During a TV interview with Portuguese channel UOL Esporte, Gabriela Cavallin detailed the allegations against the footballer, which include the threat to kill her if she ends their relationship.

Earlier this month it was revealed that Ms Cavallin had accused Antony of ‘domestic violence, threats and assault’ and had taken legal action against the 23-year-old in Brazil.

The first report said she was allegedly attacked by Antony on May 20 – the same day the Brazil international played for United in a Premier League game against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

It was only now that the influencer and DJ spoke to the media, in an interview in which allegations of death threats were also raised. She says:

“He attacked me, pushed me against the door (of the car). That’s when I said to myself: ‘It’s over’.”

Cavallin claims that Antony then threatened that she, he and their son would “die” if she ended their relationship.

She added: “He broke my suitcase, took my purse and my passport. He broke my mobile phone, he wouldn’t let me go.” I was a prisoner from 10 p.m. until almost 3:30 a.m. I call it private confinement.

I just wanted to get out of there and he told me I wouldn’t leave until I cleaned everything up. I think her mother called her physical therapist and asked for help. No one could control him.

In the same interview, Ms Cavallin reveals that the couple lost a baby during pregnancy, which she describes as “the greatest sadness of my life and also the greatest guilt”. She said: “At that moment I died. I panicked, I started crying a lot.”
