NASCAR team owner Kelley Earnhardt is gearing up to support her son, Wyatt, at the upcoming Tulsa Shootout. She took to her Instagram stories to build excitement for his participation in the event.

Drivers from across the United States are gearing up for the 40th annual Smiley’s Racing Products Tulsa Shootout, a major race leading up to the Chili Bowl Nationals. The event features various race classes, with competitors from different age groups.

One of the drivers in the Restricted A-Class is Wyatt Miller, the grandson of racing legend Dale Earnhardt. Wyatt, the son of Kelley Earnhardt and L.W. Miller, will be competing in the A-Class race, aiming to defend his title at the prestigious SageNet Center at Expo Square.

Before the race, the 13-year-old racer shared his excitement and goals on Instagram, saying:
“It’s driller season. I didn’t think I was going to win the driller; I had the goal of top five. It’s the biggest race of the year, and to win that means a lot. I feel really excited to just want to make the A-Class winged A-main and have a good run and just finish all the races I run. I want to thank all my sponsors: Bass Pro Shops, Tufco, Brandt Agriculture, and Odless. Let’s go get a driller.”

In response to her son’s post, Kelley Earnhardt shared her own words of encouragement on her Instagram stories. In just five words, she expressed her hopes for Wyatt:
“Let’s go get another Driller.”

After the Heat races at the Tulsa Shootout, Wyatt returned to Instagram to update his followers:
“Had a good day at the shootout. Learned a lot and finished P2 in my Winged Outlaw heat. Hopefully, that’ll put us in a good position in that division🤞🏻”
