Liverpool is reportedly ready to pay £132,000 a week and is willing to pay £51.4 million for the man.

Italian media reports continue to link Serie A stars with Liverpool and today Federico Chiesa’s name is back in the spotlight.

According to Corriere dello Sport (news image below), Juventus are ready to hear offers worth around €60m (£51.4m) for the star playmaker this summer.

The Rome-based outlet have mentioned that Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are ‘front-row’ to sign Chiesa.

Three years ago, the Bianconeri agreed a deal worth £51.4m to drop him from Fiorentina and now they want a similar fee to sell him.

His current contract with the Old Lady expires in two years and he receives a salary of around 5 million euros per season. On June 23, La Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that Chiesa were seeking a new contract worth €8m per season (£132,000 per week) to extend his stay in Turin.

Luis Diaz’s new Liverpool jersey number has been announced.
However, GdS revealed that Juventus could not afford such a salary as favorites Liverpool were willing to pay £132,000 a week to sign him.

The Reds struggled with long-term injuries to a number of key forwards last season. First-choice left winger Luis Diaz has missed 31 games with a knee injury.
Moreover, Jota suffered from calf and hamstring problems and missed 23 games in all competitions. Eventually, Bobby missed ten games with a calf injury.

As such, the club from Anfield must avoid bringing in an injury-prone player and in the last 24 months Federico Chiesa has spent most of his time on the treatment table.

CorSport claims the 25-year-old is not a central part of Italy manager Max Allegri’s project and is therefore eyeing opportunities to leave the Serie A giants.
