Micah Parsons shares Cowboys’ ‘Kill’ massage against 49ers

Micah Parsons may have been sidelined in recent games for the Dallas Cowboys due to injury, but he remains keenly aware of the issues facing the team.

Currently at 3-3, the Cowboys are recovering from one of their worst home defeats ever, suffering a 47-9 loss to the Detroit Lions, and are now heading into their bye week feeling defeated and in search of solutions.

Fortunately, Micah has insights for their upcoming matchup at Levi’s Stadium against a familiar rival on Sunday night.

“We can’t beat ourselves,” Parsons stated. “San Fran, obviously, they’re going through their fair share of injuries, but, at the same time, we have to play great football up there.”

At times this season, the Cowboys have hindered themselves. Issues such as costly red zone interceptions, false starts, and struggles to stop the run have contributed to their disappointing performances in 2024.

For Micah, the defense’s performance directly impacts the offense and vice versa.

“I think we’ve gotta go into these games and say, ‘We’ve gotta step on somebody’s neck,'” Parsons explained. “Just the simple things: being disciplined, can’t kill each other on red zone trips. Can’t kill each other on third downs.”

It would certainly benefit the team if Micah can “beat the odds,” as he puts it, by recovering from his ankle injury in time for the game. Meanwhile, the 49ers are also dealing with injuries to key players like Christian McCaffrey (who hasn’t played this season), Brandon Aiyuk (now out for the year), and Deebo Samuel (hospitalized with pneumonia).

As Sunday night approaches, Micah’s strategy appears clear, yet the Cowboys’ inconsistent performances on both sides of the ball leave fans uncertain about their chances against the 49ers.

With both teams facing injuries and struggling, the situation is truly “kill or be killed” in terms of confidence, standings, and playoff aspirations.
