Michael Irvin outlines how the Dallas Cowboys can turn their season around
Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin shared his thoughts on the team’s struggles during a conversation with TMZ Sports on Thursday. The Cowboys, currently at 3-4 and in third place in the NFC East, have lost four of their last six games. They are facing challenges in stopping the run due to numerous defensive injuries and have had ongoing issues with scoring.
“It looks bad right now and the only hope Cowboys really have right now is if some kind of move is made at the trade deadline. I don’t know, you’re certainly not gonna do it staying pat like they are right now,” Irvin stated.
Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is unlikely to make any trades before the NFL trade deadline at 3 p.m. on November 5.
Irvin suggested that if the situation doesn’t improve, the team might need to rethink their leadership, particularly regarding head coach Mike McCarthy. “I just left Dallas, trust me, the morale is bad everyone is hurting,” he said. “If you continue to lose then something is going to have to happen so there’s never, it’s ok, losing in the NFL, the toughest most pressurized job in this country… bar none if you don’t win yo [expletive] gone.”
