Liverpool FC launch new away kit was inspired by a white and green style from the 1990s.

Liverpool FC have officially launched their new away shirt for the 2023/24 season, inspired by a classic design from the 1990s. Supposed to be a modern take on the Reds' 1995/96 kit, the new kit is available to pre-order now from the official online store. At the kit launch, manager Jurgen Klopp looks very cool in the new Anthem jacket, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson model the training tops. The jersey features a green and white quarter pattern with a black collar and cuffs, updated with a digital effects treatment that layers tonal shades of green - Spark Green, Acid Green and Pine Green - for a modern touch . The kit is completed with black shorts, black name and number and white socks with black and green trim. Liverpool will debut the new kit against Leicester on their pre-season tour in Singapore later next month, while the women's team will also wear the new kit during friendlies at the end of August. Players Missy Bo Kearns and Shanice van de Sanden are pictured in the new kit below. Robbie Fowler, who scored an impressive 36 goals in the '95/96 season, is also featured in the kit launch - here it is in the original design and the new one, 27 years later! Also included in the kit launch are youngsters Stefan Bajcetic and Harvey Elliott. We also see Alisson in his new first choice goalkeeper shirt (bottom right) and away shirt (bottom left). All kits have decal 97 encased in eternal flames on the reverse in memory of the children, women and men who were wrongfully killed as a result of the Hillsborough disaster. They are available to pre-order from today on the LFC Official Online Store (UK & International) and on the LFC Store App for delivery from launch day, 7th July. In keeping with LFC's The Red Way sustainability program, the Nike kit is made to last, with on-court and replica jerseys made from 100% recycled polyester fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. Plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and melted down to produce a high quality yarn for crafting. This is part of Nike's larger Move to Zero initiative, with football apparel at the forefront of sustainability. The club name and number on the back of the shirt are inspired by the city, featuring a contemporary take on Liverpool's historic street signs. The product is printed with water-based ink as a more durable option and is worn during cup matches and friendlies. The away kit will be available in men's, women's and junior sizes, as well as match and stadium versions. Shirts can also be personalized with the brand new Premier League name and number. At launch, current team rosters will be used to print the new home kit during the pre-order and launch phases. Full 23-24 player rosters will be confirmed ahead of the new season. Full terms and conditions for t-shirt printing can be found here. As in previous seasons, the club is offering all official LFC members and season ticket holders a 10% discount on the price of new shirts. This is also available for essential workers in the UK through Blue Light and Network and for students through Student Beans.
