Mo Salah ‘100% committed’ to Liverpool – No offers ‘to be discussed’

Jurgen Klopp has insisted Mohamed Salah is “100 per cent” committed to Liverpool after reports of interest from a Saudi club emerged.

Saudi Arabian clubs have spent a lot of money this summer and have already brought in two veterans from the Liverpool midfield.

Salah’s name has never been far from being associated with a move, although his agent has only recently rejected such suggestions.

And there were fresh reports of interest from Al Ittihad on Thursday, but This Is Anfield’s David Lynch said Liverpool have received no approach and would reject any approach that comes.

Then, as you might expect, Klopp was asked about his number 11 in front of the press ahead of Sunday’s visit to Newcastle. And one of the most important statements is that the Egyptian is ‘100%’ committed to Liverpool.

A categorical statement from Klopp delivered with a lopsided smile. Reports clearly point to some entertainment for the Liverpool boss as his number 11 is set to stay.

Jeremy Doku, who is moving to Manchester City, has revealed how a conversation with Sadio Mané led to a possible move to Liverpool falling through.

90min understands City have agreed a €65m (£55m) transfer fee with Doku’s current club Rennes, including add-ons for the services of the talented winger. In addition, personal terms have been agreed for a five-year contract.

Official confirmation of that move now looks imminent pending a successful medical and some quotes have surfaced in the run-up to the transfer about how Doku was close to joining a Premier League club before.

Aged just 15 before signing his first professional contract with Anderlecht, the Belgian has attracted considerable interest from Liverpool, who sent Jurgen Klopp and several first-team players to persuade Doku to join Anfield.
